Before you ring anyone, work through this. It might save you a call out fee.
Check whether your neighbours have power. If the whole street is off, it is a supply fault and the number to call is 105, free from any phone, which connects you to your network operator.
If it is just your house, go to the consumer unit and look for a switch in the down or off position. Push it firmly back up.
If it trips straight back off, unplug everything on that circuit, then reset again. If it holds, plug items back in one at a time to find the fault.
If nothing on the board has tripped and you still have no power, check whether you are on a prepayment meter and have run out of credit.
Stop and ring an electrician immediately if there is any smell of burning, any scorch marks, any sparking, or if anyone has had a shock.
